Deskripsi adalah salah satu jenis karangan yang melukiskan suatu objek sesuai dengan keadaan yang sebenarnya sehingga pembaca dapat melihat, mendengar, merasakan, mencium secara imajinatif apa yang dilihat, didengar, dirasakan, dan dicium oleh penulis tentang objek yang dimaksud.
